Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper Jobs in Portland, OR at North Coast States Carpenters Regional Office

UBC Local 503 is currently seeking an organized, knowledgeable and experienced bookkeeper. The position will be full time, 5 days a week from 7:30am-4:30pm, with an hour lunch break at noon. UBC Local Union 503 is a non-profit geared toward serving our membership that works in the construction industry throughout the state. The following qualifications are required:

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;

· Organizational skills which include filing, providing reports in a timely manner, and ensuring that bills and obligations are met on time;

· An understanding of proper grammar, letter-writing skills, etc.;

· Friendly, customer service-oriented mindset;

· Experience as bookkeeper as a non-profit a plus (QuickBooks online preferable);

· Understanding payroll regulations;

· Spanish speaking is a plus;

· Knowledge of Unions a plus;

The position offers competitive wages ($25.00-$34.00), Benefits and Training. Starting compensation will be based on experience. Benefits include health and welfare, an employer-sponsored retirement plan, paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays and options for voluntary contributions to a 401(K) plan.

Training will be provided for software specific to our organization, as well as protocols and procedures.
