Overview

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage tasks, prioritize workloads, and provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Office Support: Manage daily office operations, including maintaining office supplies, routing mail, organizing files, and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.
Scheduling & Coordination: Arrange meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior Association leadership.
Correspondence Management: Handle incoming and outgoing communications (emails, phone calls, etc.), and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Document Preparation: Assist in the creation, editing, and formatting of documents, reports, presentations, and other materials. Create and submit for processing accurate expense reimbursement documents.
Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and membership databases, entering data and updating files as needed.
Customer Service: Serve as primary point of contact for clients, visitors, and vendors, providing a friendly and professional experience.
Support Team Members: Provide administrative assistance to team members, including organizing events, coordinating projects, and supporting daytoday operations.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in another relevant support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and software.

Preferred Skills
Proficiency with Deltek Time and Expense.
Experience with MatrixMaxx or similar association management software.
Working Conditions
Primarily in an office environment, with some limited flexibility for remote work if applicable. Ability to work Monday Friday on site is preferred. A minimum of three days per week in office is required.
Occasional overtime or travel (less than 10 percent) may be required based on business needs.
Salary

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000, depending on experience.

NARUC will not provide any form of visa or work sponsorship for this position.
