About YouthForce
YouthForce (YF) is a career development program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County (BGCKC). YouthForce provides teens from under served communities with the confidence, leadership, and career competencies needed to reach their full potential through unique mentored internship programs with local businesses and a structured workshop curriculum.

Opportunity Overview: YouthForce Administrative Assistant

Reporting to the YF Executive Director, the YF Administrative Assistant will provide professional office management and administrative support. The YF Administrative Assistant is responsible for grant and membership tracking, onboarding interns, managing intern timecards, invoicing, social media accounts, marketing and communication materials, and event coordination. This position is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, organized, and creative self-starter who enjoys storytelling, writing, social media, content design, planning, leading, providing support, and taking initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role may include other duties as assigned

Administrative Duties:

Manage membership database with daily data entry.
Maintain an office environment that facilitates positive youth development.
Assist HR with onboarding new interns across all YF programs.
Complete YF invoicing accurately and promptly.
Assist with the reporting and tracking of YF grants.
Perform general office duties such as greeting visitors and interns, answering phones, and coordinating events.
Foster a healthy and safe environment by ensuring the facility, equipment, and supplies are well-maintained, clean, and in good repair.

Marketing & Communications:

Maintain a social media presence on all platforms, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to develop branded content.
Ensure posts are accurate and free of typos or grammatical errors.
Create and update YF communications, flyers, forms, etc.
Manage website content and make necessary updates.
Create and distribute monthly newsletter, including collecting stories, writing articles, and taking photos.
Maintain photo, video, and print archive.
Monitor YouthForce email account.
Keep YouthForce resource materials current for outreach and tabling events by regularly updating them.
Assist Executive Director with establishing and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and businesses to support our mission.

Events Management

Assist with coordination of annual Teen Summit (Employment Conference) and Youth Resource Fair
Assist with Informational Interviews and other events.
Assist Executive Director with YF participation in countywide fundraising events
Help support YouthForce workshops.
Create promotional and support materials for events.

QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High School Diploma or GED Required.
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience as an admin professional preferred.
Previous administrative or office experience is required.
Knowledge of invoicing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Excel and Word
Social media literacy.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Professional presence and strong customer relations skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Current CPR and First Aid Certifications, or a willingness to obtain in first three months of employment.
Knowledge and/or experience working with a non-profit youth development agency preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Capacity to create an inclusive environment and effectively work with Teens, young adults, and staff from culturally diverse backgrounds
Passion for working with Teens.
Flexible personality with the professional composure to resolve conflict in a positive manner
Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License
Must have reliable independent transportation for travel
Must be able to work some nights and weekends

HOURS: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work required.
LOCATION: Smilow Rainier Vista Boys & Girls Club. Some travel required.
REPORTS TO: YouthForce Executive Director
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
SALARY: $24-$28/hr DOE. Generous benefit package including paid holidays, employee childcare discount, generous 401k match, PTO, medical, dental, vision, and bus pass stipend

This position works in an office, and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, i.e. copier toner.
