About The Role
BioLogos is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This fully remote role requires the ability to occasionally commute to Grand Rapids, MI, for errands, deliveries, and meetings. The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Director of Operations and will play a vital role in supporting the organization’s operational, development, and program activities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys supporting others, follows established processes meticulously, and is committed to contributing to a collaborative Christian environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their administrative skills within a mission-driven organization. The role requires working a mutually agreed-upon first-shift schedule during standard business hours and being adaptable to organizational needs, including travel up to three times a year.
Qualifications
- Christian faith alignment and enthusiasm for the mission of BioLogos
- Minimum of 1-year recent experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a nonprofit setting
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Zoom or similar virtual meeting platforms
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 1-3 times per year
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including answering phones and emails, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence
- Maintain accurate records, process routine documentation, and assist with mailings and shipments
- Support payroll processing, reimbursement procedures, and data entry tasks
- Assist in preparing standard reports and supporting staff meetings and organizational events
- Respond to donor inquiries, update donor records, and maintain the donor database
- Coordinate travel arrangements and meetings for development and grants teams
- Support fundraising activities and grant-related documentation
- Assist program teams with event planning, documentation, and monitoring activities
- Maintain and track program documentation, send reminders for project management, and support MEL processes
