Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment
Come join us at Kahl Home! We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955. Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.
We are looking for an Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment.
Part-Time: morning and afternoon shifts available!
Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in Long-Term care preferred.
Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment Job Summary:
Assist the recreational activities leader in use of equipment and supplies.
Assist residents with mobility, toileting and feeding as necessary.
Assist in activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, music or drama.
Prepare equipment and ensure the safety of patients or participants in the activity.
Assist in leading the participants in group activities, such as an exercise class or art project.
Help keep records of equipment and its use.
Assist in planning programs for patients, which can help to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
