Position: 25-26 ACE-VISTA-Ronald McDonald Volunteer Eng. Coordinator
Location: Loudonville
You will have the opportunity to work on capacity-building projects in education, health care, the environment, housing, criminal justice, and/or economic development. You will make an impact with a non-profit organization and the Capital Region by coordinating volunteer-led projects, conducting research, writing grants, and facilitating outreach. Based on your skills and interests, you will be matched with an organization for the year.
You will be managed on-site by a supervisor, mentored by 2 VISTA Leaders, and trained by an experienced VISTA team. You will attend a Pre-Service Orientation, an On-Site Orientation, and ongoing training for your personal and professional growth. Additionally, our cohort model provides community and support to help you make the most of your service year experience. We are celebrating fifteen years of success and have had over 200 VISTAs complete the program.

Member Duties:
Attracting, educating, and engaging local volunteers for (RMHC) programs.
Understand the full scope of the RMHC mission, each of our local programs and services, and the varied volunteer roles and responsibilities required to carry out our work.
Develop strategies to assess volunteer satisfaction on a regular basis to engage and retain volunteers.
Review existing systems and procedures to create digital trainings that are accessible, engaging, and informative for all volunteers.
Serve as additional support to engage volunteers and recognize their efforts.
Develop strategies and materials to help recruit volunteers as needed to support both existing and developing programs.
