We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to support our finance operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting compliance with grant and organizational requirements in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilitie
sAccounts Payable (AP)
- :Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner
- .Verify supporting documentation and ensure compliance with organizational policies and grant requirements
- .Prepare and execute payments via check, ACH, or wire transfers
- .Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries professionally
- .Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close activities

Accounts Receivable (AR
- ):Generate invoices for grants, partnerships, and program-related fundin
- g.Monitor incoming payments and accurately apply receipts to appropriate account
- s.Follow up on outstanding balances and maintain aging report
- s.Reconcile AR accounts and assist with revenue tracking and reportin
g.
General Accounting & Complian
- ce:Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit readine
- ss.Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- es.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentati
- on.Ensure adherence to nonprofit accounting standards and donor/grant compliance requiremen

Qualificat
- ionsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field prefer
- red.2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general account
- ing.Experience in nonprofit or grant-funded environments is highly desira
- ble.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial contr
- ols.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP syste
- ms).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office to
- ols.High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to det
- ail.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakehold
- ers.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environm
