We are looking for a Staff Accountant – AP to join a nonprofit organization in DC! You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of our accounts payable process. This position is temporary and will require an immediate start. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of accounts payable experience. Sage Intacct or nonprofit experience would be a huge plus!
Responsibilities:
Process incoming invoices and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve payment issues.
Assist in month-end closing processes.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries.
Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of accounts payable experience.
SAP Concur experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
