Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and experience with various accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, and will have experience in non-profit booking in particular. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and managing the general ledger.
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all financial data is up to date.
Perform general ledger reconciliation to verify the accuracy of accounts.
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and proper documentation.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Utilize financial software to streamline bookkeeping processes and enhance efficiency.
Help develop a efficient payroll system for 1099 contractors and run payroll
Requirements
Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including governmental accounting.
Experience using QuickBooks or similar financial software is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including non profit tax regulations and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Previous experience as a bookkeeping clerk or in a similar role is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.54 – $25.00 per hour
