The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function and be a true right hand to finance leadership. This is more than a management role, you’ll help set the standard for how the team works, mentor the people around you, and ensure the numbers that drive business decisions are ones leadership can trust. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Close & Elevate Reporting: Oversee the full month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear variance analysis that informs decision-making at the top.
- Manage & Develop Your Team: Lead, coach, and grow a team of accountants. You’ll set expectations, review work, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own Compliance & Audit Readiness: Partner with auditors and tax advisors to ensure clean audits, timely filings, and full compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry requirements.
- Drive Process & Systems Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and modernize tools — building a more efficient and scalable accounting function.
- Partner with the Business: Serve as a trusted resource for non-finance stakeholders, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decisions.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in a management role. Healthcare, Hospitals, or Nonprofit industry experience strongly preferred. CPA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of GAAP, consolidations, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel required.
