We are seeking an experienced Accounting & HR Manager to join our team in Bedford, New Hampshire. This is a key role within our organization, working directly with company leadership and overseeing critical accounting, finance, human resources, and administrative functions.

Position Summary

The Accounting & HR Manager is responsible for managing the firm’s accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll administration, employee benefits, human resources processes, and various business administration activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute both strategically and operationally within a respected and well-established financial services firm.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial records.
  • Maintain the general ledger and accounting systems.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process payroll and related tax reporting.
  • Manage banking relationships and account activities.
  • Support corporate tax administration requirements
  • Prepare accurate internal and external financial statements.
  • Prepare budgets, cash flow reports and other management reporting
  • Track and manage vendor relationships
  • Maintain corporate registrations, filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in financial analysis and business planning initiatives.

Human Resources & Administration

  • Administer employee benefits, including insurance, PTO, and retirement plans.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Coordinate performance review processes.
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook.
  • Administer 401(k) plan activities and retirement contributions.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and records.
  • Coordinate commercial insurance reviews and renewals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software applications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multiple legal or business entities.
  • Professional services or financial services industry experience.
  • Financial analysis and financial modeling experience.
  • Experience managing HR administration and employee benefit programs.
