Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, verify coding and approvals, and enter bills into the accounting system
- Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and credit card
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
- Assist with monthly AP reconciliations and aging reviews
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Apply customer payments and post cash receipts
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections as needed
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Prepare and post routine journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger records
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including credit cards and expense accounts
- Assist with ensuring accurate and timely financial records
- Process and review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements
- Assist with banking transactions and cash management activities
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
- Support audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation
- Assist with special accounting projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
